Biograd is situated 30 km south of Zadar. It is a modern tourist town, which lies on a peninsula surrounded by a large marina. Its waterfront offers a magnificent view of the island of Pasman and the surrounding islands. Swimming is possible even in the city center on the pebble beaches followed by the centuries-old pine forest. If you want more intimate place you have to go on one of the islands in the channel. Biograd is surrounded by Croatian parks of nature like the one in the Kornati archipelago which is a very interesting place for an active holiday. The sea of Biograd aquatorium is the most attractive one to sailors from Croatia. You can taste fish specialties in various restaurants in Biograd, or enjoy in many water sports and those on the mainland. You can stay in one of the 10 hotels, in a tourist resort, there are also 8 campsites, and numerous high-quality rooms and apartments. Biograd in the past was a royal Croatian city. Integral part of Riviera Biograd are the places in the vicinity like St. Peter, Turanj, Sveti Filip and Jakov, Pakostane and Drage. All these places are full with tourists from all over the world every summer. Zadar is near and you can see as well historic Croatian town Nin.
