Located on the coast of the Pasman channel, only 3 km away from Biograd is Sveti Filip and Jakov, one of the most beautiful places on this riviera. Its beautiful beaches with clean sea and neatly kept coast can give you tranquillity and rest that you need, and the local population will win you over with their hospitability and kindness. For those who want to engage in sports there is a variety of water and land sports to choose from. In this way you can go sailing, diving, play tennis, volleyball, rent a bike/boat or simply go for a hike. There are also numerous sport societies in this settlement; sailing club Sveti Filip i Jakov, windsurfing centre Surpit, water polo club Gusar that organizes various competitions, swimming school Kontov mul and a soccer club.
The resort is known for its parks and summer houses that used to belong to noblemen from Zadar and the most famous one is the Borelli family summer house. Apart from the house, the park that carries the same name is also a valuable landmark of park architecture. Furthermore, you can also visit the remains of the Benedictine monastery in Rogovo that is just next to the Church of St. Rok also a special landmark because it hides within its walls a gothic crucifix from the 14th century. Also, in the vicinity is the small isle Frmic, remains of a villa rustica, and in the sea you can find the remains of an L shaped docking construction. The settlement also has its own folklore ensemble Sveti Rok and a male klapa Cantus whose performances you can see during the summer season on the city square.
Accommodation possibilities are numerous and you can stay in camps, apartments, rooms, vacationing houses, boarding houses and hotels. Domestic specialities you can try in many restaurants and taverns out of which we recommend the restaurants Angela, Filipjanac or Pristan. If you are young and wish to have a good time we recommend you go out to the La Habana bar where you can enjoy the atmosphere while listening to hits of various domestic musicians. If you are not satisfied with the entertainment offer you can always head for the nearby Biograd na moru or Zadar that is only 20km away.
